I recently had some floor damage due to either a leaky toilet or bathtub. Pretty nice for a 4 and a half year old home eh? I talked to the plumber and he is willing to repair the damaged wood around the toilet and fix the leak but he will not pay for the retiling of the bathroom. So I am going to do it myself. My question is, since I don't want to remove the double wide sink and vanity, how do I cut the ceramic tile up close enough to the toe kick so you can't see the old tile when I put the new tile in?

It is not a good idea to tile onto of tile.

But if u are going to do this and it is ceramic tile, when u grout the tile it will hide old tile.

If it is a vinyl tile use a small molding.

I don't want to tile on top of tile, I plan on removing old tile and replacing. I don't want to remove the vanity. So I am looking for a way to cut the tile close enough to the vanity so it will not show.
