Hello, thanks for taking my question. I have a home with a well for household water supply. We used to use an above ground pump with holding tank. When that went bad it was replaced with an in ground submersible pump. For several months now grit is getting caught in many of the aerator screens and from time to time the water is a little bit muddy. By now the pipes have been flushed several times and the screens have been cleaned several times also. This issue has not calmed down as we were told it should. Could the pump possibly be a couple of feet too low in the well and stirring up sediments when it comes on... WE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM BEFORE THE NEW PUMP WAS INSTALLED. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Could the pump possibly be a couple of feet too low in the well and stirring up sediments when it comes on... That would be my guess. Sounds like they simply put the pump too low and it's now sucking up soil. I would raise it a bit and see how that works for you, Good luck, Tom

What horsepower is the pump?

Have I mentioned how much I hate this system of "reddies" where a person can leave a negative comment without identifying who they are or saying what the problem is?
The question is pertinent. If the new pump is larger than the old one, it can cause enough turbulence to kick up mud.
I agree completly~! Ther's nothing more frustrating then to recieve a "reddy" and not know why or who socked it to you. Let's either have full disclosure or do away with the system . Tom PS. I gave you a "greenie" just for b-tching about it,

There is almost no one here on this question so who would give a reddie for a perfectly appropriate question? This anonymous rating system is goofy and so is the person who gave that reddie.

Thanks for the support. At least we can all suffer together!

Look at the bright side of this goofy system, you got zapped for 1 point unreasonably and then picked up 10 points from balancers. Maybe we should each give each other a reddie and then sit back and wait to see our rep rise sky high.
