So for like 5 months I've liked this guy and he said he liked me too but nothing much happened apart from flirting but it was going great.and recently I was chatting to my "crush" online and he said he liked my best friend who also hangs out with us I would like some advice on what to do? :(

You should try talking to your best friend and about the feelings that you guys have. You cannot make this kind of things break your friendship, because friendship is really important. Maybe, you guys could talk to the boyfriend and ask him frankly(you don't have to be afraid or embarrassed). If he chooses one of you, and the other one is willing to let go, then let him take the one he chose. However, if he cannot decide at all, then I think it is best that both of you let go of him because he wouldn't really fulfill your needs in the future if he is not clear in what he is doing. Every decision is important, so be prepared to walk the path that is best for everyone that will leave no or little regret.

Best advice ever: accept defeat and move on, and know that there will be another guy that will catch your eye. The feeling is pretty lousy, I've been there myself, but this is a great opportunity to learn.

Lol what? This is awful advice. Someone's feelings will definitely get hurt by doing this. This is a situation when it's best to walk away. I also think you misunderstood, this kid is just a crush, he's no one's boyfriend.
