Should the stitches stick out after a few days of having my wisdom teeth removed

When the stitches are tied off, it is then cut. It could be that the ends that were left, are too long and irritating when your tongue moves against it.

You could call your dentist and explain the situation, you may have to go in to get the ends cut down, you may not. Otherwise there isn't anything particularly "wrong" with it.

I had my bottom left wisdom tooth removed on Monday, I still have some swelling but luckily no bruising. Is it possible that they have done the stitches too tight? I'm getting a small white lump that I can move with my tongue due to the stitching. I can't open my mouth wide enough to look inside, please help!!
