The attorney general was granted payment back in 2006. Since then the attorney is no longer with the attorney general but he is now after me for the old order. He has put a notice of Levy to my bank. Do I have to pay this person?

Yes...

Debts never expire... and they can renew Writs of Garnishment until the day you die of old age until they collect it.

And if they put a levy against your bank... they have such a Writ.

Just pay it off and get it behind you... its easier and cheaper.

Do I have to pay this person?Hello ana:

Not if you can do without your bank account and the money that was in there. If you have wages, he could garnish them next. I would if I was him.

What type of debt is this? It may be set aside with a bankruptcy.

The deputy AG (or whatever his title) is no longer working with the AG but is still trying to collect the debt? Please explain.
