That is probably too much alcohol with too little time until test. What time did you have the last drink and what time was the test performed.

I am answering this from 100% experience... I hate seeing answers from people who just relay what they've heard and saying it's a FACT...

I am required to randomly take one EtG test per month... The first month, I waited until my random day was called to drink, and obviously I was clean... Once I got a taste of alcohol again, and passing numerous breathalyzers, I got cocky. I started drinking regularly again UP UNTIL THE DAY OF MY NEXT MONTH"S EtG test. I drank about 10 drinks in the course of 4 hours ( 8pm-12am) Monday, and I was randomly called to take the test Tuesday. I flipped out and started researching how to beat the test. It seemed hopeless. Before I went to bed, I drank as much water as I could. I must have drank 2 galloons. I felt sooooo sick. When I woke up Tuesday morning,I continued drinking as much water as I could....I then went to a head shop and bought a kit, intended for stoners, that "removes all toxins from the body." I followed the directions very carefully, and took my EtG test at 4pm Tuesday. I PASSED! I had been free of drinking for only 16 hours. The next month, I went on a three day drinking binge for a wedding and had to take a test 2.5 days later. I probably had 50 hours... I didn't use the detox kit this time- I passed again.

This is 100% the truth. I also have a very fast metabolism, and work out frequently. So I may have just gotten lucky twice, but it's easier not to chance it if you're doing it for court.

Consequently (as you could imagine, I thought I was invinsible after that) and continued my usual drinking. A week later I had a random breathalyzer, and hadn't drank in about 18 hours, and blew a .04... So, it really just depends on where you're getting testing, and what kind of precautions you're taking.

If you DO drink and need to take an EtG, I would definitely recommend as much water as possible (I mean, to where you think you're going to die from drowning yourself) and the detox kit!

Hope this helps :)
