Why were they taken away from you? Most likely no, you cannot adopt them once you gave them up.

I was involved in sirs program and was told to take classes, copulated, but my children's father was not completing his classes in the time he was given. I was told that since I would not leave
The father it would be in my children's best interest to relinquish my rights,my case worker put a plan in affect and stated to me that since youth ill placed my children in a foster care, where they were being abused. A psychiatrist told youth ill that in the best entreat of the children they should be placed with my mother. And my mother was allowed to let me be with my children. Reason being I did everything I was asked including clean u.***. I was allowed to live with my mother and the children in her home, after they were adopted the sirs explained to my mother that it was at her des cress ion after the adoption was final. I have remained in my children's life the whole time and after several years of raising them on my own I feel like I can prove to the courts that I am a fit to be their mother. Also I have not been with the father for over four years.

Child in need of care call I was in the process of buying a home and had not been able to get electric turned on due to a fulty electric box but was in process of having it fixed. Their was no prior incidents, and I was able to pick up my kids after 72 hrs at the children's home and placed on a safety plane threw youthvill. Also srs did not really want my kids away from me they told me that if I relinquished my rights they would try to get kids placed w my parents and that they would be better off out of the system. I wonder if I can do a privet adoption since my mother is getting older and my children are still verry young..

First, ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area. Second, please don't use acronyms that others may not know like "sirs" or "youth ill". We don't know what that refers to.

If your children have been legally adopted, it may be difficult to overturn that adoption. But I'm not so sure that has happened. If the children were placed with your mother it may have been as a guardian and not an adoptive parent.

You need to consult an attorney to be sure exactly what the status is and determine what you can do to become your children's parent again.
