Hi,

I am on F-1 Visa (from india) and I also have my spouse IITN no. My question is that on which status I will file my federal tax.

I also need to file tax for two state. I am confused about the state tax, should I need to file state tax for both the state for total income or for just for the indiviual state income earned from each state (like total I earn is 30000$ so 30000$ for both state or indiviual earn income).

I also move to another state for job and company didn't paid me any moving expenses but I don't have any receipt, sholud I file moving expenses without receipt.

Thanks

You should only pay taxes to the state where you earned the money, unless you work in one state and live in another. In that case, the state where you work taxes the salary, and the state where you live also taxes the salary, but gives you a credit for the tax you paid to the working state.

If the expenses are not too excessive, I would claim the moving expenses.

Without actually working on the returns, it is difficult to answer your question.
