I'm having a problem with a guy that was suppose to cut hay for me last spring. He didn't show up until middle of August and then he only did 1/2 of what he waqs suppose to do. I gave the fields to someone to put soybeans on them, so he killed the grass to plow. As soon as the grass was brown the guy who was suppose to do hay called and said I owed him money because he didn't get a second cut. There was no growth to cut. He is just using that to try and get money off me. He cut a field for me to keep the hay about Aug.7, the cows would only eat 1/2 of it and there was no nurishment in it. Can someone guide me to a website that would give me proof of when hay should be cut and explain that hay cut late loses its nurishment. This guy is taking me to court over whyat he did just to try and get money.

Check with your local Dept of Agriculture office. Or try their website.

Yes, if you are growing hay, I have to be honest you should know all about hay if you are growing it.

But your local ag agent, who you would use to testify in court if you went to court
