I have a 92 Honda Civic that won't start. I checked fuel pressure and it was good, I also checked if spark plugs were getting fire and they are. The motor cranks but does not start, also checked pulse to injectors and I am not getting pulse to injectors. Should I change distributor?

If the CEL comes on for 2 seconds and then goes out, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II), then replacing the ICM and coil usually solves the problem. If the problem persists, install the new ICM and coil in a new genuine Honda distributor housing--all others are suspect. Apply silicone heat transfer grease to the back of the new ICM. If you want, install a new genuine Honda distributor.

My 92 Honda Civic still will not start, I replaced distributer and I am still not getting injector pulse, also checked that CEL and it stays on costantly (does not go out after 2 seconds). I am really lost now.

. Test all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter. Be very thorough. Especially test the ACG (ALT) (S) fuse in the under dash fuse box.

. Perform the K-Test on the ECM.

I suspect the ECM is toast.
