I have had me navel pierced, and I kept the bar in but I have had a scar tissue, but I am too scared to go back into the steel bar because at the moment I am using plastic belly bars from tiger lily which did help it heal. But I have got a lump inside the navel from the keloid and I don't know weather I should keep my bar in or take it out?.

Plastic is porous and can cause a nasty infection. Take that out and put the steel back in. is the steel surgical grade or just stainless? As far as the keloid, crush an aspirin and mix with a couple drops of water to make a paste. Apply the paste to the keloid for the next few weeks.
