Is it normal for a five in a half week old beagle puppy to sleep most the day?

He's only a baby, still being weaned so yes it is normal.
Is this a puppy you have bought from somewhere or has your dog had a litter?

Puppies at this age still sleep most of the day cause he is still a baby I wouldn't worry.
