I use to live in Michigan had a child with my wife and after she had the baby a few months later we divorced she moved to Vegas and I moved to Minnesota I need to know how can I get my child support case modified without going to Michigan to do it? Is it possible?

If she moved to Nevada with the child after the divorce then Nevada has jurisdiction. But your ex will need to file in Nevada to have the case moved. Then you will need to file in Nevada for a modification. You can hire a local MN attorney, who can handle this for you. You MAY have to go to Nevada, but is possible hearings can be held by telephone, especially if your ex doesn't fight it.

Also there is a chance that the child support office in Nevada may transfer the case there since niether of you live in the old "home" state. You might want to check to see how much it will change depending on the state you apply it to. Has it been 2 years without an adjustment or has there been a major change in circumstance?

Sometimes its best to let sleeping dogs lay.

And not sure NV is going to be a lot better for you than MN.

And not sure NV is going to be a lot better for you than MN.

But it won't be MN. It will be either MI where the original order was issued or NV where the mother and child reside.
