I am married and would like to know if I should file jointly or single. I worked on my OPT for 3.5 months before going on H1-B as a full time employee. What are my options ?

More than likely, you will benefit more by filing jointly and choosing for you both to be treated as resident aliens than filing alone as a non-resident alien.

However, that is NOT guaranteed!

You need to provide some salary figures. Be sure to include any world-wide income (not in the U.S.) earned in 2006.
