hi as some of you know me and my husband are just about to start the adoption process we have our first group meeting on the 20th we can't wait does anyone know how long the whole process will take us we live in nottingham in the uk and are desperate for a child to be part of our family also do you know if you have a choice to adopt a boy or girl ? And why do some people choose to have a boy or choose a girl any comments greatfull x :)

I have not personally adopted, I plan to in the future, but I know a lot of people want only a boy, or only a girl. When I found out I was pregnant I prayed I was having a girl, that was all I could think about was the dresses and stuff. I found out I was having a boy and I could be happier!

I have heard some people being able to fill out paperwork that lets you choose what gender you prefer and what age.
