We have been working on removing our faucet all evening. Same problem! Horseshoe bracket -- three inch rod. Will let you know if using a socket wrench works. FIngers crossed!

Hi Pdindy
If you are trashing the old faucet and it helps, don't forget that you can bend/break off the tubing/connections coming from the underside of the faucet body... may make slipping the socket over the end of the shank nut easier... ;)
If that doesn't help or I sound way off here, please clarify the model/name brand and we'll see what we can come up with, OK?

Hi pdindy and welcome to the Plumbing pageat at AskMeHelpDesk.com. You piggybacked on an a 3 year old dead thread so I gave you one of your own. In the future, before you post, look in the upper left hand corner for the date. Let us know if the socket wrench does the trick. Good luck, Tom
