Hi,
I am employee from a leadingsoftware company in world and acting as a architect, with 6-7 years exp in same company and also overall. Developing framrworks using propritory technology platforms and enginnering interface protocols.

My company is transferiing me to its Unit in US on an internal Architect position where I would be responsible for overall architecture for a new product using similar framework. I would be paid in US payroll ( on higher side)

I have a Mtech and Btech degrees in computer sc from reputed universities.

I have a L1B Blanket interview at Chennai India. Rejection rates are very high these days. Please guide me about how do you feel my case is and what are the tips I shall use to crack the interview.

You start by being open and honest, answering the questions to the best of your ability. There is no secret formula to "crack" the interview.

Your company should be preparing you for the interview. Keep in mind that the US has a high unemployment rate right now and work visas are not being granted as freely as they once were.

I would like to understand the factors that influence the decision. I mean would a US payroll, involvement in development and architecture of framrworks ( which would be required in new project in US ) and continutity in same company over 6-7 years seen as positive.

Also would going on a new project to help it using the specialization( framework and architecture in my case) is preferred or VO expects you to be in same project and same skills?

Your employer should be handling this for you, should be preparing the paperwork, making a case for why you should be given this visa. The personal interview is not terribly complicated. I see a number of sites when I "google" the info, but the majority are sponsored by Attorneys. I won't recommend that an AMHD user go to another site because I don't know what is accurate and reputable... and what is not.

Here is the official Homeland Security site - USCIS Home Page (http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis)

It also tells you that your concerns are addressed by your COMPANY, not by you individually.
