The mother of my child hired a lawyer and petitioned family court that I was in violation of a child support order. After 18 months, the support magistrate issued her decision, stating "petition is dismissed due to failure to meet burden of proof, it is therefore ordered that the petition herein is dismissed with prejudice."
Now the mother, with the same lawyer, will make a petition for a money judgement against me. How can she possibly get such an award when her own petition of violation was dismissed with prejudice ?
