I want to start my own website, but my funds are lower than low. There has to be somekind of business or organization out there that will help me start my own website totally free, right? I would like to be able to add multi-media content to my site. Thank you. Peace and Love.

What do you want it to do? It's usually more productive to join an existing site.

Here's a professional tip: use Google.

I'll even provide you with the search term: "free web hosts with PHP and MySQL"

Then learn how to install and use WordPress (http://wordpress.org/), which is also free. It supports all media content, blog posts, the whole nine yards and more.

I'm a web developer for a website that gets over 1 million unique views a month, and we use WordPress. It's the industry standard because it's so easy to use.

You said to use Google. Do you mean the free sites from Google? Or something else that I don't know about? I really am a novice when it comes to this whole thing. I would greatly appreciate it if you would explain the basics to me step-by-step. Thank you. Peace and Love.

There are 100's if not 1000's of free web site builders out there.

The one I use is
Weebly - Create a free website and a free blog (http://www.weebly.com)

But if you do a Google search of free websites you will get 1000s of choices

You can have up to 5 free web sites. There are some small fees to use some extras but you may have free sites without paying the extra fee. Now yes they will ask you almost every time you log in, to buy the extras, but then most of them do that.

I seldom post my own web site, but

*****

Is my local Church group, it is completely free.

This one uses some of the upgrades on weebly but to be honest it is so cheap compared to most.

***** but normally you don't need to down load videos, and think that was the reason we upgraded it.

They allow you to have buy now or even add to cart buttons to sell things, you link that to pay pal and poof, you are in business. Now getting people to your site is another issue of course.

For example if you search for martial arts in mableton, I come up in the first page of almost all searches, and in Google and Yahoo I come up in the top several searches.

What I like about it, it is user friendly,

Hey, I've been off this site now for a few days because I, thanks to yourself and all of the wonderful people here, finally figured out how to start my own free website! It's up and running, but still needs a little work. Feel free to drop by poetrypoemspoets (http://www.poetrypoemspoets.wordpress.com)

I like it.
Keep up the good work.
You are doing what is so difficult: writing about pain without wallowing in it.
Thanks too for the Sylvia Plath reading.
