I was arrested n 2000.for shop lifting.. They wanted me to go to jail 4 8 months and charged with felony charges.. I got cought n BOBS then they recovered stuff in my sisters car which I took the blame.. Due to me getting a lawer it was reduced to a misdemeanor.. Alost 2yrs later I got cought again so considering the 1st time I did do10 days n 2yrs pro... Because I violated the 2nd time I did 37 week ends.. Now 12 yrs later I got cought@ khoals of a total of 89$.. I have court soon n they are charging me with felony charges.. Please can someone give me some advice.. Other than these charges I've never been in trouble for anything.. I'm a single mom of 3.. can they bring up something that happened 12 yrs ago time

"Other than these charges I've never been in trouble for anything". Don't you consider these charges enough?Somewhere along the line you will go to jail, 3 kids or not. All the advise we could give you is after the fact, you have been caught shoplifting 3 times. Yes, they can bring up you past record as evidence of your history and an apparent pattern.

Yes, in sentencing they will bring up all of the old charges, including any violations of probation if they want.

Also 89 dollars theft from a store is seldom ever a felony but a misdeamer, so something must have happen in the theft to make this more serious.

But yes you can expect a punishment more harsh than the ones before, since it is a progression showing you have not learned a lesson. And to be honest the DA and the judge will believe basisly you keep stealing just finally got caught again.
