I was told there's a scamming going around from Ghana & this is the contact name.

As this is a global website, it's unlikely that any one member here has heard of this specific person. However, if you met him online and he is asking you to send him money it is most likely a scam.

Not only is there scams out of Ghana, it is world famous for several versions of dating and get rich schemes. It is honestly a business, They have rooms full of employees who go to work in shifts. They each pretend to be various people. They have scripts that are know to work, and story lines for each person.

Passports they sometimes send may even be real but stolen, bought, borrowed or rented. They will even have some pretty girls or handsome men to do web cam at times but will always have reasons not to continue them.
Most of the time you will be chatting with 50 year old or older grandmas and even men playing men or women.

The basic story goes like this on dating, they start chatting, and they want to come and be with you. Often after about a month of chatting. They will want various fees, 300 to 1000 dollar for passport, more for a visa. They will clam they have to have a medical and a background check. All for 100's of dollars.

Then if you are still paying, they all of a sudden find out they have to have 2000 to 10,000 in a bank account to leave the nation. But they will give it all back as soon as they get to the US>. Then if you pay that, often they get mugged on the way to the airport, ( a friend emals you for them) so they are OK, but had to use some of that 10,000 for the hospital. ( sometimes it is to pay off a crooked official). So by then when you don't send anymore money, they disappear, never to be heard of before.

They use 100s of thousands of names, change to new ones every few weeks.



The other story is basically they have some "treasure" often diamonds or gold, or some secret bank account. But they can't get to it, from Ghana ( never knew why since they have banking centers) but anyway, they want you to send so many 1000s dollars to get them out of the country, and as soon as they are out, they will split this treasure with you.

Oh yes, in all cases they want the plane fare also.
