A while back I had to have an engine replacement done on my car... The vehicle is a 1990 Honda civic DX sedan with (only the block) to a 1998 civic DX my problem is that the power steering hoses were not the same so the shop I took it to never replaced the pump.

My question is will the power steering pressure hose for the 1998 pump fit on the 1990 steering rack
If not... What other alterations will I have to make without having to replace the steering rack...
DETAILS HELP... PLEASE AND THANK YOU

Take the hose to a hydraulic repair shop and they can swage the proper fittings on the hose.

Does that mean that they would alter the hose to the correct fitting for the car ?
And would any auto shop be able to do this because there are not any shops of that type where I live

What you are asking is not uncommon, street rodders have been doing this for any number of years. Places that repair trucks, tractors, commercial equipment usually have that type of equipment. Some garages do too. I just connected a toyota pump to a VW rack and had a hose made for $15
