About 4 months ago I heard that there was something like internet cable with over 2000 "channels" for a small fee that you pay yearly

I was wondering if that is true? I am thinking of getting it for my daughter and me in a few months. But most sites I see are like netflix where it is reruns of shows. I am looking for internet cable that actually allows you to watch live TV on your computer. Like watching the TV show on your computer the same time people with cable and satellite watch it. Probably not

Anyway I would love to know if there is online cable TV anyway. I am looking for something that has a yearly fee to join their website and has good shows like country music, fx, racing, etc...

I am talking about paying for it online
Nothing free LOL
I may change careers where I will be traveling even more than I do now and wanted "tv & movies" to watch online other than just netflix. I have netflix now for over $7 a month and love it but saw some sites that offer cable for TV but not sure if they are legal or have anything good

My hubby will be driving so I can watch it while he drives

Thanks

Yes there is internet TV. But as with everything there is a catch. Mant of the "included" channels are from foreign sources. So unless you actually speak the language then its not worth watching. If you have cable at home and for your ISP then many of the TV shows are provided for free already. You can view them from anywhere you have a connection. Also you can watch all the movie channels over the net with your base subscription.

Califdadof3, I will be traveling a lot and due to how long I and my hubby will be gong each time we decided not to get cable hooked up in our home. It's not worth the price. So far we got streaming netflix and dvds & dvd-r's but want to be able to watch stuff online that we can pay for.

We travel a lot and changing careers this summer to semi-driving and can be gone months at a time.
Thanks for the info.
