Hi,

My upper front-left tooth is broken and there is very small tiny bit of tooth sticking out of my gums but roots are okay.

Doctor has offered me a dental treatment in which he will do a root canal and fill a tooth and put a crown on it.

My concern is that there is not much tooth there for crown to hold on to it and if the dentist is going to put crown on the filling then it might demage the root of my tooth in the future.

Do you think crown can last long on the top of the filling?

What other treatments are available? I don't want to go for a bridge because it requires other two tooth to be smaller beside the broken one. I don't to harm my other two teeth.

Yeas off course

Don't worry about retention of crown... and you remember that you will not use the anterior teeth for mastication :)

I have a crown on the upper anterior ( right side ) from 4 years ago . And it's well
