I recently had crown put on a tooth and after two months, I started getting shooting pain radiating from my lower jaw (near the crown) up to my ear. I had the bite adjusted (3rd time) and I think he got it right this time, no more radiating pain. One problem gone and another took it's place the next day. The gum under the crown has become so sore that it has put me on a soup and ibuprofin diet going on 5 days now. Is that normal? My dentist has taken numerous x-rays and can't find any issues. He told me I would have some pain for awhile, but I didn't think it would be this bad. Am I being a baby or is there something I should do?
