Usually after sitting overnight the car will not crank until numerous attempts. Can hear a clicking sound, dash lights up, and then eventually (after repeated key turns) it cranks and starts like normal. Then usually no problem the rest of the day. Then next day same scenario. Took it to dealer and they could not reproduce it and suggested I start with the starter ($540 R&R). If new starter doesn't fix it try the ignition switch for $550. Car has already had to ignition switches (recall work) and at 230,000 miles they tell me it is out of warranty. Been told it could be a dead spot on the starter armature or the ignition switch or relay etc.
