Lately I've noticed unknown internet activity on my computer. I'm running xp and have anti virus software, spyware and zonealarm, etc. I'm using a dialup connection and while this unknown activity takes place browsing becomes very slow. Could someone please advise me how I can determine just what is being downloaded/uploaded. I update my anti virus and spyware software daily and scanning my HDD reveals nothing of concern.

Do you have a program using the internet that you aren't aware of? I used to have a sluggish connection due to a program that I did not know existed. It wasn't malicious, just annoying.
