Hi
I bought a rain shower head " Grohe rainshower jumbo ", and it's weight 16 LB, I will install it in the wall with the shower arm, and I'm afraid of falling this heavy shower, should I worry about this ?

Assuming the pipe connecting to the shower head is properly installed and supported, What type of pipe is it connecting to inside the wall.

I'm afraid of falling this heavy shower, should I worry about this ? Not to worry! The shower arm's secured in the wall with a drop eared ell,(see image) that is secures with wood screws to backing. I have a "pancake" rain shower head in my shower with no problems. Happy showering and rub-a-dub with no concerns, Tom

16 lbs? Wow, that is heavy. Hopefully you have copper with a brass fitting like Tom shows.

Are you sure it weighs 16 pounds? That's an aweful lot, and when you start adjusting the shower head, that puts a lot of strain on the threads, and fitting, and anchors. I just replaced a shower arm today that had a rain shower head, because the shower arm broke at the threads. Of course, I jokingly told the homeowner the shower head was just a shower head, not a grab bar:) Im guessing the shower head you have is made for coming straight out of the ceiling, not out of the wall, but I may be wrong. I would contact the supplier or manufacturer of the hsower head and see what they have to say about proper support.
