On my Alba 32 I notice that the light flashing and I can't put it on with the remote. I have 2 turn the TV off by the mains and wait 4 second then put it back on then it is OK. Just wanted to no have I got a fought with my TV please

Sometimes keeping a Television on too long, can cause it to over heat (but it's not even really OVER heating, it's just getting hot).
Some new TV's have censors in them and when they are hot enough to trip the sensor they can sometimes be known to shut the TV off, and flash the usual power light. Sometimes it take a little bit of a wait to get the TV back on as it is cooling itself down...

This may or may not be the problem, but if this sounds like your problem, I would just suggest always remembering to turn the TV off, and/or you could always go into your TV menu and see if there are brightness settings, or dim when inactive settings, etc... things that would effect the amount of power your TV puts out...

Actually, most newer TVs do not have temperature sensors. The projection TVs (not flat panels) have temperature sensors in them. But I'm guessing since the OP's TV is 32", that it is not a projo.

OP: How old is the TV? If it is under warranty, you might want to take it to the retailer to see what they can do for you. If it isn't, then you will want to deal with it. It wouldn't be worth fixing the 32" unless you know what you are doing (in which case you wouldn't post here for help).

There's too many possibilities, but if you can get the TV to work by unplugging it, then you might want to just deal with it.

Do you have a model number? Does the light blink a certain number of times?

FYI: It's the default action for a TV to shut down with a blinking light. Just search online and you'll see it's not just temperature problems (most of the time it isn't actually). So your experience with a different make and model than the OP does not mean it is the cure all.

I'm sorry you took offense to my post. I meant none at all. I work as a TV repair technician. I am paid to know about TVs. I don't have to share my experience and training on this site if I don't want to. I didn't mean for you to feel that I was calling you out on anything, just trying to inform you.

Also, which model Sony do you have? There was a recall on some of their sets which might affect you.

I'm glad there was no offense taken. Here's some information about that Sony recall I mentioned:
