In the past I have had depression/Anxiety and because of this I wasn't able to graduate high school. I'm now twenty-one years of age (residing in Perth, Western Australia) and I'm thinking it's too late to follow the career path which really interests me. I've always been fascinated with the marvels and mysteries of the human body. Before I became sick I was relatively good at the sciences. With medication and therapy I was able to overcome my ordeals. But I was wondering if there are Tafe courses/something along those lines that would be equivalent to a high school diploma or a set of courses which would eventually lead me into Medicine?

Well you still may have opportunities of study, maybe not as a practicing doctor, but as a paramedic, personal support worker, or even registered nurse or registered practical nurse. I just checked to see if thee are community colleges in Australia, and there are indeed! I mention community college, unlike university which is more theory oriented, which are hands on learning that speeds up the learning process so you can reach your goals faster.

I cannot offer you a link, but if you Google 'community colleges in Australia' you will find all the info you need. Good luck!
