I started my period November 7th, and ended five days afterwards. I took a test that said I ovulated on the 17th, and I had unprotected sex on the 17th, 18th, and 20th. I don't take birth control, and I was taking prenatal vitamins to raise my iron. I am six days late on my period. What are the chances that I am pregnant?

Hi TNM201... we aren't OB doctors, but can answer your question.
The odds of you being pregnant are about 20%. Possibly slightly higher since you are actually trying to become pregnant.
It is smart of you to be taking the prenatal vitamins most importantly because of the folic acid in them. This can help prevent certain birth defects that occur very early in a pregnancy and ideally a woman is taking the vitamin while trying to conceive.
Since you are late, try a pregnancy test. If it turns out that you are not pregnant, you might find your chances improve if you start trying a few days before you suspect ovulation and continue through it. You have the best chance of achieving success if the sperm are already waiting for the egg to be released instead of trying to hit "the day".
What test did you use to determine when you would ovulate?
