I adopted Tony from a rescue over the summer. That was 6 months ago. He was from a puppy mill and is very needy and is pretty much a big baby. He's 3 lbs and is full grown. I've trained him to go on the weewee pads fearing for the cold winter in New York and my 3 pound dog freezing outside. He's small enough that peeing on the weewee pad is totally acceptable.
Recently, in the last few months he's been peeing ALL OVER THE PLACE. It's like clockwork half the time. When he's left alone, i.e.. When I or my boyfriend take a shower he pees in the living room. When we leave in the morning to get breakfast, he pees in the living room. When we're anywhere not paying attention to him, he's peeing.
Today was the last straw. He peed 4 times in the house and not on the weewee pad. One time he peed and it soaked into his doggy bed. Which is now sitting on our porch waiting to be cleaned.
I know he has anxiety about separation because of his traumatic life but HOW DO I STOP IT?
HELP!
