Lesian couple here ( 33 & 35) and girlfriend just got back results from pap smear and she has been diagnosed with the STD trichamosis. Neither one of us have had sex with a man in over 10 years. Can this be one of those STDs that lay dormant in your system for years. But according to her doctor she diagnosed this in the past couple of months. Confusing! We have done research and it says that 1% of women get it without having sex. We also have read that the tests are based on a woman PH level, which can change due to menstrual cycle, pregnancy and menopause. Day after her pap smear her cycle started. We have been trying to figure out how she has contracted this STD. Doc did prescribed her med (4) which she took today.. I have my OB/GYN appt on Monday.

You will be happy to know it is one of the most curable STDs. Your doctor will prescribe antibiotics and that should take care of it.
