Actually there is no mention of prohibition about smoking in Al-Qur'an and Hidiths though this thing was present at that time (When Nabi Saleallahu alaihi wa sallam and sahabi were alive). They have confirmed abut those thing are allowed or not which were present at that time still now Eg: Drinking alcohol, Interest, Masturbate, Rape, eating dead animals , etc. But they have never mentioned about smoking. So is smoking is prohibited or not?

400 ulema/scholars from throughout the world has declared Cigaratte smoking haraam on the basis of one Quranic verse which says:
"and make not your own hands contribute to (your) destruction" - Holy Qur'an, Surah Al-Baqara,[2:195]

Ya I know that but my question is 400 Ulema/Scholars declared now. But no Sahabi (R.A) never decleared it as Haraam still people smoke at that time. So why they never decleared it as Haraam. They can but they didn't it. Why so?
