Hey,

I've been told I have severe depression, and the doctor told me the only way to get better is to talk to someone who is willing to listen and that can help you cope.
I can't afford the therapy sessions, and he didn't give me any medication.

I'm looking for a lady, or a gentleman, whoever that I can trust and get to know. That who can help me get through this tough time I'm having and not to judge. Who can be blunt enough and tell me the truth and tell me what's the smart thing to do about these situations.

I don't want to put all my problem publicly just in case someone finds out this is me.

I'm a little ashamed and a little embarrassed. Please respond as soon as possible.

If your interested please message me on here. Or my email [email protected]
Plus put ask me help desk in the subject box... so I know its you.

Hi-- Feeling ashamed and embarrassed about your depression is completely normal but unwarranted. Try to keep in mind that those feelings are a part of the disease (the depression). My suggestion would be to try to find some places in your area that provide therapy on a sliding scale. I didn't even know this existed until recently. It's usually going to be a qualified psychology student who acts as your therapist. I know that you may have some doubts about this, but in my opinion there are many advantages. First off, the student psychologist consults with a licensed psychologist. In addition, other students will review your case and make suggestions-- you're going to have several well-trained eyes looking over your situation and offering suggestions to your therapist. Plus, it's all confidential and you'll be helping a prospective psychologist.

You may also consider seeing a priest/pastor/rabbi about the problems you're facing. They are always willing to lend a hand, and they too will keep everything you tell them in the strictest confidence.

Remember, these feeling that you're experiencing have a cause-- and you can overcome them. There is no reason that with some hard work and dedication you can't overcome your depression and lead a happy, fulfilling life.
