I have a Goodman Furnace and the water that is suppose to go down the tube and into my laundry sink overflows the little water basin on the furnace and onto the basement floor. I have taken the little filter out that the tube fits on and cleaned it out as best I can. I have also tried to clean out the reservoir but still the water will not go up the tube like it suppose to. I have also checked the power and it is good. Please help as I do not have the funds to call in the repair guy.

Water doesn't flow up. Is the tube connected to a condensate pump-"little water basin?" Sounds like there is or should be one. Make sure it's plugged in and jiggle it around and see if it works. Sometimes the float hangs up. If it doesn't work you may need to replace it. Also be sure the discharge tube hasn't become disconnected.

The tube is connected and the electrical has also been checked but to no help. Can the basin be opened by myself, as I am a 65 year old woman on a limited income and don't have the money to call a repair man.

Never tried to open mine but you can look. Maybe screw together or snapped together. If everything is connected and you are sure there is power, and jiggling the pump doesn't work, you need a new one. HD and Lowe's carry them for about $40 and I'm sure you can do it yourself. If the tub isn't too far away and the tub lip is low enough, you may be able to cut the pipe, fit a piece of flex plastic over it and let it gravity flow to the tub. Most tubs are below the discharge port so this should work.

Thank you. I will try to cut the tube as you suggested.
