When we first started going out I thought he was really funny and really genuine and is a special guy, but now a few months down the road I don't feel the least bit romantic around him, I don't find his jokes funny anymore and I'm beginning to wish he was different... it's horrible that I should want him to change right?

But should I just break it up like this? I feel like he's a burden, and I dread being seen with him. I know it shouldn't matter what other people think, but isn't the fact that I care about what other people think an indication that I'm no longer really in love anymore? Please help!

What you have to remember is after so many months, with ANYONE, the honeymoon phase wears off and you see each other fully. You find out what it feels like to argue with them. You find out the real them, and not just the 'them' that's trying to woo you. Maybe talk to him and gently tell him how you feel. But don't make him feel like he has to change, that's not fair on anyone. If you feel the same after a while, I think it's time to move on, as he's not right for you.

To be honest if you don't want to be seen with him... or if u don't want to be with him romantically maybe you should have a chat with him... tell him how you feel...

Dump him, as nicely, but firmly as possible. Just tell him your feelings have changed, and be done with it. He'll get over it... eventually.
