I was reading an article and this word came up and I can't find it in any dictionaries ? HELPP thanks (:

They are DNA cutting enzymes.

You know what are enzymes? Restriction enzymes are simply special enzymes that work on the DNA.

They cut the DNA at specific parts, depending on the type of restriction enzyme. You can read more about it on wikipedia...
