How do I color my naturally blonde hair red without it fading so fast. My hair stylist has dyed it twice in less than two weeks! It keeps fading out and the blonde starts showing within 2 washes, its super annoying and id like to know if there's anything I can do to keep the color for at least a month because this will start getting expensive. I've also used two types of shampoo for color treated hair and that's not helping either.

Try a semi permanent darker shade of blonde or a light brown first... you need slight pigment before adding such strong pigment such as red.. the red has nothing to hold onto otherwise.. your hairdresser should know that! :) good luck
