Hi suzie29,

Have you spoken to your doctor about ways to try and regulate your cycle? If they are able to determine a reason for the irregular cycles, there may be options to help with getting your cycles on track. There are both medical and herbal means that have proved to be helpful depending on the cause.

With irregular cycles, you are likely not ovulating as frequently, therefore you would have fewer opportunities to become pregnant.

You can also watch for changes that may help determine possible ovulation. One is that vaginal discharge will become more fluid and clear in the days leading up to ovulation. Sometimes this is easy to notice, sometimes not.

Since you have been trying for a year, and are 35, it would be wise to see your doctor and have some initial fertility testing done. Your husband should have an initial sperm analysis done as well.
