Depends on where they live and the reasons the donation was made. Some folks have done this to qualify for Medicaid so the gov looks closely at the reasoning

There is no such thing as a donation to a spouse. Donations are to registered not for profit organizations. What is the hoped for reason to do this, how much, and what state (if the US) was the inheritance? Are you trying to avoid state inheritance tax, or to keep benefits, or avoid a debt? (Chances are this won't work.)

He donated the house and land to her so they could take out a loan on the paid property with a lower fiancé rate because her credit was better than hers.now they are getting divorced and she is saying the property is hers the mortgage and title are in her name. I thought it would have been community property. Louisiana

Were they married when he gave her the money?
LA law is about the most complicated of the 50 states. He really needs a lawyer.
