I have a 95 Honda Civic DX 1.5L non-V-tech that was running fine then it sat in my garage for about a week while I was doing some unrelated work to it and then went to test drive and had little difficulty starting but started and ran smooth. Then went to start next morning and wouldn't start. Car is cranking good, had battery checked and is good, has spark, has compression about 180psi in all, fuel pump is working, I smell gas in cylinder and wet on plugs so seems to be getting fuel, just recently looked at timing belt and is in good shape, also tried to loosen and move distributor position and no change. I'm out of ideas does anyone else have any suggestions? PLEASE.

If the Check Engine Light comes on for 2 seconds and then goes out, after the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II), then replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil. The main culprit is likely the ICM but it's best to replace both at the same time.

In the original post, he mentioned checking the timing belt and said it looks fine. I suppose it could have lost some teeth and jumped time but I have to assume he would have looked for that.
