Hi I'm a having a sharp pain in my lower left side near my hip when I try to have a bowel movement and now its hurting when I move cam someone tell me what this is.

It could be several things, like constipation, appendicitis, colon cancer, IBS, etc.

As I tell my patients who call my unit in the hospital asking for medical advice..

"I'm sorry, I cannot assess you over the phone as I cannot see you or put my hands on you. You will need to come in for a proper assessment, diagnosis and treatment."

Are you running a fever? How long has this been happening? Any nausea or vomiting?

I'm a 19 year old female I do have ibs I was diagnosed when I was a little kid and no I don't have a fever, it just happened tonight I felt like I was going to have a bowel movement I was pushing nothing was coming I passed a big gas bubble then all the sudden started having a severe shart pain in my left side side near my hip after about ten minutesit stoppped now it hurts in the same place when I move, I felt nausea when it first happened then it quickly when away. I don't know if this helps the last to days I had diarriah I thought and when I was in the shower some nasty brown mucas like stuff leaked out. Any help of what this is would be appreciated

Daughter had similar pain, It got to where she couldn't walk. Its possiable appendicitus, or gull blatter. Goodluck!
