View Full Version : 18dpo, BBT has been low for a week, AF has not come, BFNs but think I'm pregnant

I ovulated on CD18 (November 7) and had a clear thermal shift afterwards with 11 days of high temps, but one temp dip on 5dpo with very faint spotting (which I hoped might be implantation). I had a blood test on CD 22 that confirmed ovulation. Starting on 12dpo, my BBT dropped below coverline, and has been low for a week except for one day in which it was high again. Today I am 18dpo and my temp is still low first thing in the morning. I checked my temp after a nap, and it was high again, but for the purposes of charting, I am going with my first morning temp. I have taken an HPT every morning since 9dpo and they are all negative. I understand that a drop in temp to below coverline means that AF is coming, but it's been a week and still nothing. I have had a very slight, dull cramping feeling in my lower abdomen and some very slight ovary pain (which I also had at the time of ovulation).

I am not sure how long my luteal phase is since this is my first time ovulating since I started charting. I don't understand why I would have a whole week of low temps after 11 days of elevated temps, when my period has still not shown up. I know that it's possible to be pregnant with a negative urine test, but is it possible to be pregnant with these low temps?

Hi w12911... welcome to AMHD,

What were your temps prior to ovulation? Could you have possibly set the coverline too high?
