How do I pause live TV on the Bush LCD40FHDAB. It says you can on the box but does not say how in the instructions

I'm not personally familiar with Bush TVs, but unless the TV has a built-in DVR/PVR you cannot pause live television. To pause TV, you need something to record it.
You might be able to hold a still image on the screen, but while this is happening, you will be missing out on whatever is broadcasted. This is usually done through a "Still" button on the remote somewhere.
If the TV has a DVR/PVR built-in, then you need to make sure you are using basic cable or antenna and not a cable/satellite box. Most of those units will not record from the inputs. If you want to take advantage of this and you have cable, you should be able to rent a cable card from your cable company and set that up with your TV. You might loose some features that you have through your cable box, but it all depends on your company, service package, and the features of the TV.
