I am 31 years old. My mother was taken into the care and guardianship of a local homehealth agency. They left me and my sister behind with relatives where we were not taken care of and suffered greatly. I have emotional issues and very many scars from my child hood. What can I sue this agency for. What would be the term, if not abandonment or neglect?

Since you are now 31, it is doubtful you can sue for anything.

But you if you can prove neglect sue the people that neglected you.

What makes you think you can sue at all? You would have to prove that the agency was negligent in not sufficiently checking out the relatives or following up on your care. That's going be very hard to prove at this late date.

Anyone can sue, but winning is a different matter. I don't see a court allowing this case to go through.

You need to contact an attorney. Why did they take your mother? Does it fall under the statute of limitations (if they were guilty of negligence etc.).
