I've called my provider and they send the signal but once I turn off my desktop and turn it back on and go to internet explorer I can't connect, It tells me I'm working offline.I then go to control panel, check my connection and it says broadband connection 2.How can I change it to Local area connetion?

Under "file" it shows work offline. Does it say that in yours or is it grey'ed out?

What message is it giving you if you try to go to a website?

I have two tabs showing when I first open internet explorer and they both say "You are working offline, I click on the tool box to where it says work offline then a box pops up and it asked to connect to braodband 2 which it should be Local area

Have you cleared your homepage and set it to "use blank" ? It sounds like your starting in a home page that is an offline file. So your browser is defaulting to "offline" when it starts.

No I haven't cleared my home page so I'll try that and see what happens. Thank you
