Hi I have just bought a house with an existing concrete driveway that does not have a slope or diversion bar to prevent water from entering the garage- how can I add one at this point and what product would I use that won't crack, etc? Thanks, Lynne

One way is to cut the slab and drop in the drainage boxes you can find at HD and Lowe's. They are not cheap but work extremely well. Pictures at http://www.acomarkant.com/pdf/drainline100.pdf

Thanks for both good suggestions- we are now thinking of bolting a tapered piece of treated 2x6 to concrete? Think that's a possibility?

That would slow down the water but it would likely not be 100% water proof. You could caulk the PT lumber before bolting but that leaves water hitting your floor plate around the base of the garage. The pour was done incorrectly and I think ma's suggestion is best.I am doubtful is Springtimehomes idea about bagged asphalt sticking to concrete. Even if it worked you still have water treaching your floor plate
