I'm 14 I've been with a 20 year old for 18 months. He just screwed me over in the worst way possible, and he's a jailbird so I want to ruin his life like he put extreme flaws in mine. If I go to the police with a wish to charge him with statutory rape, is it possible for me to get in trouble for dating him?

Depends on what type of trouble you mean.

In most areas (ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.) 14 is under the age of consent so you can't legally consent. If you had a sexual relationship with him and you can prove it, then he is likely going down for it. And I think you SHOULD report it. You were taken advantage of by an adult. It is possible he will do this again if not stopped.

But this will not go easy on you. Your parents will keep a closer watch on you. The trial will be embarrassing and there may be other consequences. But there should not be any legal consequences unless you lie about things.

So I, again, urge you to go to your parents and have them take you to the police to report this.

Normally, I would not advocate trying to get revenge this way. And that clearly appears to be your intent. But if you have with this guy for 18 months that means he was an 18 yr old in a relationship with a 12-13 yr old. That spells pedophile and he needs to be stopped.
