Doctor Didn't Really Say He Said That He Can Hear There Is A Little Fluid In The Lungs. The Cough Is Just Persistent. It Don't Seem Like It's Getting Better. I'm Just Wondering If There Is Any Medicine That Can Help Him.

Have you tried any of the OTC cough medicines for children? Robitussin makes a great one.

If there is fluid on the lungs wouldn't that indicate the beginning of pneumonia? In which case I would NOT give OTC cough meds. This will only make the pneumonia worse. I would take him back to the doctor or get a second opinion. My daughter has a persistent cough and after being told to use OTC cough meds by a walk in clinic doc, my daughter had to spend a week in hospital with pneumonia. She is now on daily asthma medications.
Also try a Vicks humidifier. Be tedious with vacuuming. Do you have pets?

I give my daughter lots of warm chamomile tea with honey. I have found that sometimes coughing can just become a reflex because she can't calm down. The honey soothes the tickle and the tea relaxes her.
